The Centre for Development Results (CDR) is an organisation that supports companies that deliver UK aid funded programmes and have a shared aspiration to improve impact, value for money and accountability in their work. We work to build partnerships with DfID, cross-government funds and other UK aid and development sector stakeholders to raise awareness of the role and impact companies have and to help shape UK development policy.
A UK aid sector which delivers maximum impact and in which companies are valued and consulted partners.
To improve impact, value for money and accountability in the part of the UK aid budget delivered by companies.
We work across a range of three main objectives that we believe can help companies to deliver UK aid in a more effective way:
Contribute to a better understanding of the role and impact of member organisations.
Facilitate the exchange of views and best practice, conduct of research and publication of policy work on methods of improving development effectiveness, working collectively to raise standards in the industry.
Support HMG’s commercial and development objectives.
Contribute to debate and policy development on the most effective means of achieving results in development.
Work in partnership across the sector to defend and improve outcomes and raise standards.
Grow and diversify the CDR network to ensure we meet our objectives and contribute to the UK development sector.
