International Development Workshop at Cambridge University

British Expertise is hosting a workshop at Trinity College on "The Rising Power of China in International Development" and will discuss the Chinese way of doing development business as the country boosts its trade and investment based on the policy framework of the "One Belt, One Road Initiative".
The workshop will be led by Dr Nazia Mintz Habib, Director of Research for the Resilience and Sustainable Development Programme at the Centre for Rising Powers (CRP) of the University of Cambridge.
Panellists will include Dr K C Lin, Executive Director of the CRP and a University lecturer in Politics where his research focuses on the politics of market reform in developing countries. Other Cambridge academics will feature on the panel, alongside China development expert Jessica Toale, Executive Director of the Centre for Development Results and Tom Cargill, Executive Director of the British Foreign Policy Group.
The workshop begins at 13:00 and will be followed by an event on "The Future of the UN" with Lord Mark Malloch-Brown and chaired by Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP.
